How long will the prior authorization process typically take?

We strive to make sure you have access to the medications that you need so we want to make any review process as smooth and quick as possible.  Typically prior authorizations are reviewed and a determination is made within 48 hours of the initial request.  This time frame is dependent however on receiving adequate and accurate information from the prescribing physician.  If that information is not provided quickly or if additional information has to be requested then the process could take longer.
